Troy Lee Designs Se Elbow Guards Product Review
When I first started mountain biking, was very cautious and didn't go out of my comfort zone too much. Then I soon realized that I really enjoyed this sport and began to start riding through the single track trails faster and coming that much closer to being able to loosing my balance and crashing. Well, the more and more I kept riding like this, I would eventually begin to crash. Either by my rear wheel sliding out from underneath me or one end of my handlebars would clip a tree and my front wheel would turn sideways and I'd flip over the bike! At this point I realized that I had to make a decision. Either ride less aggressively or buy at least some sort of protective gear and continue to ride the way I want to.
At this point I realized that most of the time that I was crashing, I would land on my elbow or forearm. Sometimes I would even scrape my arms up against a tree while trying to make it through the trails. I was also hitting my knees to the ground also, but I figured that I should at least buy myself a pair of elbow guards to start out with. So I decided to buy a pair of Troy Lee Designs Se Elbow Guards. This pair of protective equipment was perfect and not only protected my elbows, but also protected my forearms too. Basically you are wearing a spandex sleeve that covers your arm from your wrist up to your shoulder and there are two plastic guards that are attached to the sleeve. One of the guards is right where your elbow is and the plastic forearm guard is beside the elbow guard. Basically, you are wearing a breathable sleeve that has two plastic guards that don't restrict your range of motion as you bent your arm. Since I bought this product, I have worn them on many occasions. I'm glad that I decided to purchase them due to the fact they are very durable, they have the Troy Lee Designs Logo on each forearm guard and they are constructed with extremely well and will last me many years. These guards come in two colors, white and black and three different sizes. You can order this pair in either size Youth, Small/Medium or Large/Extra Large. So whether you have a child that rides his or her bike off road or you want to protect yourself, you will be able to find not only the color that best suits your taste, but also the right size. Once you take this product out of the packaging after buying it, and put it on you will notice how comfortable it is to wear.
